A Democratic Pennsylvania state lawmaker is accused of threatening to use his political status to shut down a local bar after he uttered obscenities at employees before he was kicked out of the establishment.
Representative Kevin Boyle, 44, began his fury at Gaul & Co. Malt House in Rockledge, Pa. when he yelled at the barmaid and refused several orders to leave, according to the viral footage.
“I can f–king finish this bar, I’ll f–king finish this bar if I want to,” Boyle yelled.
“You guys are a-holes,” Boyle said as he stood up and grabbed his jacket, while one of the crowd encouraged him to get to his car before they called the police.
As Boyle continues his shouting match with the bartender, someone tells the politician he started the argument.
“Why are you acting like this,” asked the Democrat before changing the subject and accusing everyone in the bar of working with the federal government.
“This is US military intelligence, and traitors,” Boyle began to say before stopping himself.

Boyle, whose brother Brendan is the US representative for Pennsylvania, continued his tirade when he called workers “stupid” and accused them of being “actors.”
The power-hungry MP then claimed he had the ability to prevent some workers from getting promotions.
“Stop, you don’t think [sic] I’m going to block your promotion in the United States military?”
Boyle then pointed around the room in an attempt to confirm everyone was a member of the military, to which he received zero “yes” answers.

In a moment of clarity, as he resists the bartender’s request to leave, Boyle makes sure he pays his tab.
“Did I pay my bill?” he asked, before admitting “I don’t want to be an idiot, but I don’t want to be an a-hole.”
“Tough,” Boyle began to say as he was once again told to leave the bar. “This is so aggressive, you can’t talk to me like this, I’ll close your f-king bar!”
“This bar is done, do you know who the f–k I am?” “This bar is finished tomorrow.”
The bar, located in Montogomery County, is part of the 172nd district that Boyle has served since he took office in 2011, along with the Philadelphia division.

Pennsylvania House Democratic leaders said they are aware of the “troubling” video and are “glad” Boyle is seeking help for his “personal challenges.”
“We are aware of the video that went viral on social media. It is very troubling. Rep. Boyle has been open about his personal challenges,” a statement obtained by NBC10 read. “We are encouraged that our colleagues and dear friends are seeking help. Our commitment to delivering mental health services does not stop at Capitol Steps.”
“One of the main reasons we advocate so strongly for mental health access is the reality that challenges can and do happen to anyone, and seeking treatment should be encouraged, not stigmatized.”

In 2021, Boyle was arrested and charged with harassment and violating a protection from abuse order filed by his wife, according to the outlet.
Following the arrest, Boyle was removed from his position as chairman of the House Finance Committee and has limited access to the Capitol.
