Peta Murgatroyd is not opposed to having more children.
Although she already has two children with her husband, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the youngest of whom is due in June 2023, the professional Latin dancer is open to having more. The conversation came up during a Q&A he held with his nearly one million followers on Wednesday.

In the midst of struggling with infertility, which resulted in the recent arrival of her second child, Rio Joy Chmerkovskiy, Murgatroyd said she wouldn’t mind having a third bundle of joy. Shortly after she instructed her fans to ask her anything, one of them “Do you want to try for a baby again?”
Sharing her response in a video that showed her wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt, the mother-of-two said, “I’ll have another one. Hopefully, we get a girl.” He added, “If it happens, it happens, and that will be amazing.”
When a second netizen asked how long the “Dancing with the Stars” performer and her husband “tried before doing IVF,” she explained, “We basically tried for two years. I had three miscarriages, and one failed IVF. I really thought IVF will succeed, but [it] no. Then, [I] got pregnant naturally a month after i stopped IVF. Isn’t that always the case?”
While the revelation may surprise some, it’s not the first time Murgatroyd has floated the idea of more children. According to a June report from The Blast, the 2002 WA Amateur Latin State Champion and his girlfriend jokingly touched on the subject while having the time of their lives on video.

The clip, which comes with the words, “My husband right after I gave birth,” written on the screen, shows Chmerkovskiy lip-syncing to a pre-recorded soundtrack. His silent declaration, “Do you think we need more? You think we need another one,” prompting his wife to look up from her phone in confusion.
Not long after, the Blackpool Dance Festival Under-21 Latin competitor’s third-place finisher was seen in a hospital bed, ready to give birth to her second baby. The next was a voice saying, “Okay, we’ll get another one,” causing the “Faith, Hope & Love” actress to look back. In the caption, he wrote:
“@maksimc literally straight after birth ? Other people [experienced] this? Lol #anotherone #familyoffour ?.”
The funny yet candid update resonated with many, including Murgatroyd’s fellow superstars and fans, who shared their views in the comments. While one fan wrote, “My husband asked for another hour after we found out we were having a third girl,” choreographer Jenna Johnson typed, “Literally Val while I was pushing Rom…?.”
A second fan joked, “That doesn’t surprise me. The new baby is tall. He will wake up soon. ?,” and a third read, “As I was leaving the hospital, my husband said to the nurse who pushed my wheelchair, “See you next year.”

When Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd weren’t announcing their intention to welcome a third child, they were celebrating milestones. For example, last month, they took the time to express their undying love and admiration for each other during their sixth wedding anniversary.
The Blast notes that Chmerkovskiy led the celebration by uploading images from their wedding day with him. In the photo, the Ukrainian-born dance instructor holds his bride’s face in his hands, lovingly admiring her features. Underneath the adorable shot, she stated:
“Happy birthday, my love! The absolute best decision I have ever made, and I will marry you every day of my life as long as I can …..you know the rest :). I love you so much more today than on our wedding day and can’t understand how that’s possible because I remember so vividly lovingly when you walked towards me.”
Afterwards, she thanked Murgatroyd for “choosing” her and “making us a house full of children, pets, plants, and endless love.” Likewise, “Burn the Floor” showed her deep feelings for her man, posting additional photos from their wedding day, including a sweet one of them locking lips under a rainbow at sunset. He claimed in his caption:
“Love of my life @maksimc. Happy Anniversary, my beloved person…6 years married 10 years together. You are without a doubt my best friend on planet earth, my love for you is infinite. ❤️.”
