Comedians Pete Davidson and John Mulaney are breaking their silence about the mass shooting that happened in Lewiston, Maine Wednesday afternoon.
The two were scheduled to perform their comedy show in Maine this weekend, but postponed the show out of respect for the Lewiston native.

Robert Card, the suspect in Wednesday’s mass shooting, faces eight counts of murder, Maine State Police Col. William G. Ross said. The suspect, who is a military veteran, opened fire at several locations, including a bowling alley, where a children’s league was held, and at a local bar, Schengees Bar and Grille.
Pete Davidson and John Mulaney were scheduled to perform their comedy show in Maine over the weekend, however, they decided to postpone the show following the tragic events that occurred in Lewiston Wednesday evening.
“We are deeply disappointed by the events in Lewiston,” the two began in a joint statement. “Showings scheduled for this weekend in Maine on Saturday, 10/28 and Sunday, 10/29, have been postponed.”
“We’re thinking of you all,” the two concluded by saying.

Seven people were killed at the Sparetime Recreation bowling alley, eight people were shot and killed at Schengenees Bar and Grille, and three people died at the hospital, according to law enforcement. The suspect is still at large.
“Our reality for today is that this suspect is still at large,” Public Safety Director Michael Sauschuck said Thursday morning.
Police almost immediately released an image of the suspect in the hope that the public can help find this armed and dangerous man. A photo of the suspect’s car was also released, which is a small white SUV with a front bumper believed to be “painted black”.

The president of the United States spoke Thursday morning to discuss the mass shooting that occurred in a small town in Maine late Wednesday afternoon, saying that he and his wife, Jill Biden, “are praying for the American people who lost their lives.”
“Once again, our country is in mourning,” he said. “Today, Jill and I pray for the Americans who have lost their lives, for those who are still in critical care, and for the families, survivors and community members who are experiencing shock and grief.”

He then urged the public to stay safe because the suspect, Robert Card, remains at large and is considered “armed and dangerous. I have directed my administration to provide everything necessary to support the people of Maine. We will continue to be there every step of the way, ” Biden added, noting that “many” Americans have survived gun violence.
It is “unusual, and we cannot accept it,” the President said, that what the country has done so far with gun safety “is simply not enough.”
