The comedian allegedly thanked the radio show host after he stepped in and shut down West’s hateful comments about him after he had a brief relationship with Kim Kardashian, the rapper’s ex.
“Pete reached out to Charlamagne and thanked him for standing up for him against Kanye,” shared a source with Hollywood life. “Pete really wants nothing to do with the drama and hopes Kanye will move on. Pete certainly has, and he’s focused on his own life,” the source said.
Davidson has insisted that he has no beef with West, he even admitted at one point that he is a fan of the “Stronger” rapper. “He just hopes Kanye will do the same.”

The source went on to claim that “It means a lot to Charlamagne to have his back and he knows he’s a true friend.” Charlamagne has publicly condemned West for his recent behavior, holding him accountable like a friend.
He didn’t appreciate it when West made disparaging comments Saturday Night Live alum. “They go way back and even though Pete knows Charlamagne is good with Kanye, he appreciates it [the Breakfast Club host ]for speaking for him.”
West’s hatred of Davidson began shortly after Kardashian went public King Staten Island star. She and West weren’t officially divorced yet and she felt like that was cheating in a way. But, instead of showing his anger to Kim, he attacked Davidson relentlessly.

The “Runaway” rapper tried to get Charlamage to slam Davidson during a private phone call when he and West got into an “argument” according to Charlamagne. “You know my friend Pete, right?” he said to the West who refused to be involved in the hate speech.
The West continued to allegedly release it; “My wife is out here playing with a white boy with a 10 inch cock! And you won’t help me. You told me that’s your friend? When are you supposed to be cultured?”
After this is when West allegedly started attacking Pete on Twitter and Instagram posting infamous statements like; “Skete Davidson Dies At 28”. Even before the social media onslaught, the rapper talked about busting his “ass” on the “Eazy” track.
Kanye has also called Davidson a “moron” and “trash”. Davidson, after splitting from Kardashian entered “trauma recovery” for the attack.
