The elderly man accused of using his small plane to harass an upstate New York woman for four years called the alleged victim “crazy” — shortly before being arrested a third time and slapped with stalking charges.
“I don’t know her, she’s crazy,” Michael Arnold, 65, told Fox Digital News Tuesday about Cassie Wilusz, the 42-year-old Schuylerville woman who claims a hobby pilot circled her home from above, pelted her yard with tomatoes and sexted racy pictures of her.
Wilusz said he and his family would be woken up at 7 a.m. several times a week by the sound of Arnold’s plane, which flew so close the windows and doors rattled.
Arnold claims he only ate at Wilusz’s restaurant, Revolution Cafe in Schuylerville, once but did not return after getting food poisoning.
He was already under a temporary protection order issued in May and told to “cease and desist from flying any and all aircraft”.
Arnold was arrested last week on nine counts of criminal contempt for violating a protective order and pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday. As he left court, he was arrested again on additional charges of stalking.

The charges against him relate to Arnold’s Facebook account, which was allegedly set up under a false name and used to harass Wilusz and threaten his daughter, according to Fox.
Wilusz told Fox News Digital that he was “relieved” Arnold had been arrested, although he was released on bail shortly after.
“I hope he realizes the time has come, and he should really answer the accusations,” he told the outlet.

The strange form of plane stalking has started after Arnold’s visit to the Wilusz cafe in 2019.
“He told me karma would catch up with me. He said I killed my father… and I will kill my husband. I called the police, but it never stopped,” she lamented to the Albany Times-Union.
Arnold was allegedly unaffected by an earlier restraining order issued that year – and is said to have last contacted the victim’s home on May 23 this year, just a day after her husband died of cancer.

His alleged online harassment included emailing pictures of Arnold half-clothed and bound in bed along with several pictures of nude women, Wilusz alleged.
Arnold also allegedly wrote about spending time with two girlfriends at a “nude resort on Jaco Beach” in Costa Rica.
Then he started flying over my house, sending pictures of my house, my pool, my backyard, me, my family, my friends,” he told the Times-Union.
For his part, Arnold claims the whole thing is a misunderstanding that has been blown completely out of proportion.
“I am not interested in that woman at all. I never. They accused me of stalking badly. I just like flying into town and getting pictures for the community page,” he told the Bennington Banner.
