A Brooklyn pimp who admitted to cutting up his prostitute girlfriend and putting her head in a freezer has pleaded guilty and faces life in prison for the gruesome murder and for sex-trafficking eight women.
Somorie Moses – whose nicknames include “Sugar Bear” and “Daddy” – was charged on Friday with 10 counts of sex trafficking eight women, and murder in the course of sex trafficking for the January 12, 2017, butchering of his girlfriend Leondra Foster.

The 47-year-old pimp was previously convicted of negligent homicide and concealing the body for Foster’s murder by a Brooklyn state court jury in 2019. The jury acquitted him of murder.
He served four to eight years in prison and was scheduled to be released in May 2022 before he was re-arrested by the feds on a new charge of murder in the course of sex trafficking.
Moses killed Foster, 32 – one of his sex-trafficking victims – and then, using a knife and chainsaw, dismembered her body in the Brooklyn apartment they shared, prosecutors said.

Four days later, on the morning of Jan. 17, 2017, Moses disposed of Foster’s torso and limbs at a Bronx sanitation site, the feds allege. His head, hands and feet, including the foot with the name “Somorie” tattooed on it, were found by police in Moses’ freezer, prosecutors said.
In addition to the murders, beginning as early as 2003 Moses would force women and girls into the sex trade — and use threats, violence and manipulation to keep them working for him, prosecutors allege.

He often tricked women into believing he loved them, slept with them and promised to marry them before making them work for him, the feds allege. And he often pressured the women to get “Somorie” tattoos on their bodies, prosecutors said.
Musa beat, raped, tortured and threatened to kill the women – all to force them to become prostitutes for him, officials alleged.

According to prosecutors, Musa used a taser on a woman who refused to be a call girl — and put a shotgun in another woman’s mouth, threatening to kill her and her child if she didn’t become a sex worker.
The vicious pimp once slashed the arm and back of one of his victims with a razor and beat him with a belt, then poured lemon juice on the wound, leaving him with permanent scars, the feds allege.
“While the defendant’s overall guilty plea cannot undo the terrible harm he has caused, we hope it will bring a step of closure to the victims of the defendant’s brutality and brutality, and to Ms. Foster’s family,” Brooklyn US Attorney Breon Peace said in a statement on Friday.
Moses’ attorney did not immediately return a request for comment Sunday.
