Pink Opens Up About Journey With Weight Gains and Losses

Grammy award-winning artist Pink recently revealed that she gained and lost about 36 pounds by eating bread during the Covid-19 lockdown period. The singer also underwent several surgeries that year but said she eventually regained her body and health.

Pink previously spoke about her recovery in 2021, saying she has learned “the gift of receiving help” and feels blessed. The singer and her husband, Carey Hart, have had Rocky the past few years, including an extreme case of COVID-19. Hart himself also had a chest infection and surgery to fuse his neck vertebrae and deal with problems with his joints.

During a recently published interview with Diversity, Pink talked about how she gained and lost 36 pounds during the COVID-19 pandemic. The singer said, “Rest is good for my voice. Not so good for the body. Especially during COVID — I gained 36 pounds. All I do is make tamarind and then eat the tamarind.”

Pink also shared that in the same year, she underwent hip surgery and double disc replacement surgery in her neck area, which made her recovery more difficult. However, the “Just Give me a reason” singer said that now that she’s lost the weight, she’s basically a “bionic woman.”

He said, per Page Six, “I’ve lost those 36 pounds, and I’m stronger than I’ve ever been in my life. And I’m ready to go [on tour], and I’m ready to get out of here. I’ve been home too long.”

He Previously Discussed His Recovery Process

In an Instagram post made in November 2021, Pink discussed the recovery period after her multiple surgeries. The post read, “I have never been completely ungrateful. It was a brutal first week full of tears and pain, medical depression, medication-induced ulcers and constant fevers”

The singer continued per Page Six, “It is humbling for a very independent person like me to be physically incapacitated and dependent, even for a few months. I am learning the gift of receiving help. My journey will be quick and deliberate, and I will make a full recovery. For that I am very blessed.”

They Had A Delirium A Few Years Ago

The last few years have not been easy for Pink or her family, which includes her husband, Carey Hart, their daughter Willow, and son Jameson. Pink and Jameson both had extreme cases of COVID-19 when the virus was still spreading. However, both have thankfully fully recovered from the virus.

Meanwhile, Hart also suffered a severe chest infection that required a catheter for his recovery. At the time, she made an Instagram post about the illness, which read, “Well, this sucks. Found out a few days before Christmas that I have an infection in some old hardware in my body.”

The post continued, “After stressing my brain over the holidays, I had this tunneled catheter installed in my chest. Now for the next 41 days I have to inject antibiotics to knock this inhaler out.” A few weeks before the infection, the pro motorcyclist underwent neck surgery to fuse the vertebrae there and address problems with his joints.

In 2021, Pink and her family were dealt a huge blow by the death of her father, who died of advanced prostate cancer. During a recent interview with Women’s healththe “So What” singer talks about her relationship with her Dad and the memories she holds on to him.

He said, “I know sometimes I have a tendency to remember bad deeds. I want to try to stick to the good; there is much good.”

In his new interview with DiversityPink talked about exploring her various emotions during the creation of her latest album, “Trustfall.”

She said, “I think we’re all in this constant state of stress, so we put our feelings down just to get us through the day. I want to find my way back to the truth and genuine feelings… That’s who I am as a person. If you ask how I am, how much time do you have?”
