P!nk Is ‘Saddened’ And Takes Responsibility For Role In Christina Aguilera Drama

P!nk has had enough of the public’s view of her alleged beef with Christina Aguilera.

The singer expressed her dismay at the attention her former feud with the 42-year-old continued to bring after the release of her new album, “Trustfall.”

The feud, which took place two decades ago, saw P!nk and Aguilera fight over which singer would sing a certain part of the song “Lady Marmalade.” Although nothing has been said since then, talk of the pair’s feud resurfaced after P!nk put the song’s music video last in a conversation about her favorite project.

P!nk Is Upset With The Ongoing Controversy Surrounding Her & Christina Aguilera

P!nk has been at the top of the news ever since she started promoting her latest album, “Trustfall,” which she released on February 17. And at the center is her feud with Aguilera, which fans and the press have been talking about a lot, leading the “F**king Perfect” singer to express her frustration on social media.

Taking to Instagram, the 43-year-old shared a neon-filtered photo of himself and his son, Jameson Moon Hart, pouting at the camera. However, the playful image was accompanied by a long and vivid caption with which he began:

“I’m very sad and disappointed with the narrative surrounding some of the press I’ve done around my album. While some of the responsibility lies with me and my inability to lie, and my uncanny ability to overshare- my real frustration lies in the fact that art can’t be the focus when you’re a woman.

P!nk stated that despite creating “one of the most beautiful albums” while “selling out stadiums,” “raising good kids,” and employing “good, hard-working people,” “the only thing” that mattered by the public “is the foolish strife of the twenties.” The “Just Say I’m Sorry” hitmaker added that no one talks about the many women he “admires, supports and loves.”

“I also believe in genuine apologies – and owning Your Mistakes. I should have cut back. Everytime. Say less. Something I’m working on. This is a good Reminder. My desire is To share the pain and celebration of this messy life through music and on stage. And I have achieved it,” he said.

The mother of two ended with a personal message at Aguilera, stating that the “Genie in a Bottle” singer knows where they stand. With over half a million likes and thousands of comments, the post definitely got the attention he was hoping for.

A poll of the comments section revealed that both celebrities and fans united against the pigeonhole, as actress Hilary Swank commented, “Thank you for being vulnerable, authentic and an eloquent truth teller. We ALL need more of that, ALWAYS.”

Fitness guru Jeanette Jenkins wrote, “Through this honest message, you show us women how to stand up for ourselves & I love it. Keep telling the truth & congrats on a beautiful album.”

Make-up artist Nicola Chapman noted that people are always learning new things about their lives and one fan noted that the “Just Give Me a Reason” singer wasn’t “unkind or fake” in her interview. A second fan also claims that people who focus on other people’s pasts “do not empower women” but seek “drama.”

The Five-Time World Music Award Winner Shuts Down Rumors Of Any Feud

Talk of P!nk and Aguilera’s seemingly reborn feud began after the former appeared in a viral TikTok clip ranking her music video. The Blast reports that the “What About Us” singer explained putting the “Lady Marmalade” video last on his ranking list because:

“It’s not very fun to make. I’m all about fun, and it’s like a lot of fuss. And there’s some personality…Kim and Mya are great.”

Within hours, the clip’s comments section was filled with fans giving their thoughts on the situation, with one writing, “The fact that he’s still shadowing xtina about this 20 years later ?.” After letting hours of speculation circulate on social media, P!nk finally gave in when she responded to one Twitter user, stating:

“You are all crazy. Who is Xtina related to in that song? If you don’t know by now- I don’t “protect” someone by telling them over and over again what really happened.”

The Grammy Award winner ended her rant by showing her disinterest in the controversy, writing, “If you haven’t noticed- I’ve been pretty busy selling.”
