A manhunt is underway for an opportunistic donut thief who tore through a service station early this morning with a Krispy Kreme van.
The alleged thief made off with a servo in Carlingford, north-west of Sydney, Australia with 10,000 donuts in the van while the driver was inside paying at about 3.30am (AEDT).
The vehicle was on its way to Newcastle to make various deliveries, including Christmas-themed and classic doughnuts.
“The police are now looking for the van and the sweet thief. It is believed he jumped into the van as the driver was inside the service station,” Krispy Kreme said in a statement.
