Pooja Batra is an Indian model, actress, entrepreneur, host, producer and RJ. She rose to fame after winning Femina Miss India International in 1993. Batra was also a semi-finalist in 1993 Miss International. After completing his education, he entered the Bollywood industry and acted in many films.

Pooja Batra was born on 27 October 1976 (age 43 years; as in 2019) in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his studies in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune and an MBA in Marketing from Symbiosis International University, Pune. While at school, he was active in athletics. He once participated in the 200 and 400 meter sprint races. Pooja has represented her school in athletics at various national level competitions. Her mother was one of the top five Miss India contestants in 1971, which motivated her to continue in the same vein. Hence, inspired by her mother, she joined Femina Miss in 1993. Pooja Batra was crowned Femina Miss India International; also, she was one of the semi-finalists at the Miss International beauty pageant. After completing his education, he entered the Bollywood industry.

Pooja Batra was born into a Hindu Khatri Family to Ravi Batra, an army man, and Neelam Batra, a beautician. He has two brothers. Although he was born in Faizabad, he traces his roots back to Ludhiana, Punjab.

Career
Pooja Batra joined the modeling industry at a very young age. Her parents wanted her to finish her education and then join the glamorous world; so, she worked as a part-time model to finance her education. When she turned 18, she participated in Femina Miss India and was crowned Miss India International. He started receiving film offers while he was still in college; however, he wanted to finish his studies first. She came into the limelight after she appeared in a television commercial for Liril soap.
She made her Bollywood debut in 1997 with the film “Virasat” opposite Tabu and Anil Kapoor.

Apart from working in mainstream cinema, Pooja has also appeared in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Punjabi films. He made his debut in Malayalam films with Chandralekha (1997), in Telugu with Greeku Veerudu (1998), and in Punjabi films with “Killer Punjabi” (2016).
