‘Porch pirate’ caught on video stealing iPad right out of FedEx worker’s hands

A brazen “porch pirate” took it upon himself — right from a shocked FedEx employee.

Doorbell footage obtained by WRIC captured a man approaching the delivery driver as he walked toward a home in Chesterfield, Virginia, holding a package containing an iPad.

At the last moment, the daring bandit snatched the package right out of his hands and went to his car — a white BMW, no less.

The homeowner, Jessica Saenz, was working on the home at the time of Thursday’s shocking robbery.

“I was in a meeting and then the FedEx lady started knocking on my door like, really loud,” Saenz told the news outlet. “I was like, ‘What’s going on?’”

The employee then delivered bad news about the Apple device.

When Saenz reviewed surveillance video, he saw the thief tell the FedEx employee that he lived at the residence before breaking in to make a grab.

Neighbor Johnny Eubanks said he saw it all happen while he was walking his dog.

“It’s pretty crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it before. You know, usually people cheat about it,” he told WRIC. “People are really desperate right now.”

Police are investigating the theft and say the Beemer seen in the clip is believed to have been involved in another recent robbery.
