Poulomi Basu is an Indian transmedia artist, activist and documentary photographer. Her works have become famous for fighting for women’s rights.
Early Life
Poulomi was born in October 1983 and grew up in Calcutta (now Kolkata), India. He was fortunate to find early inspiration in the city’s rich cinematic history. According to her, she was raised in a house with all kinds of taboos and a misogynistic environment. He majored in sociology in photojournalism and documentary photography at The London College. Career
Her work usually consists of topics that deal with the normalization of violence and discrimination against marginalized women.
