The Powerball jackpot rose to an estimated $1.04 billion after no players hit it on Saturday night, continuing a more than two-month streak of lottery futility.
The numbers drawn are: 19, 30, 37, 44, 46 and the red Powerball 22.
The jackpot for next Monday night’s draw remains the world’s ninth biggest lottery prize of all time.
The $1.04 billion jackpot is for a single winner who chooses payment through an annuity endowed over 30 years.
Winners almost always take the cash option, which for Monday’s drawing is estimated at $478.2 million.
The winnings will be subject to federal taxes, while many states also tax lottery prizes.

The jackpot has grown so big that there have been 30 consecutive drawings without a big winner, since July 19.
Powerball odds of 1 in 292.2 million are designed to generate huge jackpots.
The prize gets bigger as it repeatedly rolls when no one wins.
The biggest jackpot is a $2.04 billion Powerball prize hit by a player in California in November 2022.
In most states, Powerball tickets cost $2 and players can pick their own numbers or leave the task to the computer.
