The Powerball jackpot increased to an estimated $925 million after no players hit it Wednesday night, continuing a lottery futility that has lasted more than two months.
The winning numbers are: 1, 7, 46, 47, 63 and Powerball red 7.
The jackpot for next Saturday night’s drawing remains the world’s ninth-biggest lottery prize of all time, behind the initial prizes in the Powerball and Mega Millions games that all topped $1 billion.
The jackpot has grown so big that there have now been 30 consecutive drawings without a big winner, since July 19th.
Powerball’s odds of 1 in 292.2 million are designed to generate large jackpots, with prizes getting bigger as they are repeatedly rolled when no one wins.
The winning numbers for Powerball are: 1, 7, 46, 47, 63 and red.
The biggest jackpot is a $2.04 billion Powerball prize hit by a player in California in November 2022.

The $925 million jackpot is for a single winner who chooses payment through an annuity, vested over 30 years.

The winner almost always takes the cash option, which for Saturday night’s drawing is estimated at $432.4 million.
Those winnings will be subject to federal taxes, and many states also tax lottery winnings.
Powerball is played in 45 states plus Washington, DC, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
