Prabhas was born on 23 October 1979 (41 years old; age as in 2020) in Madras, Tamil Nadu. His family moved to Hyderabad as his father worked in the Telugu film industry. Although he is the son of a film producer, he does not aspire to be an actor. He always wanted to be a businessman. But he could not keep himself from the glamorous world for a long time and soon he entered the film industry as an actor.

Career
Prabhas attended DNR School, Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh, and enrolled in Sri Chaitanya College, Hyderabad from where he obtained a degree in engineering. He started his acting career with Eeswar (2002, Telugu), and after this, he continued to work in 1 or 2 films a year. Moreover, it was his uncle, Uppalapati Krishnam Raju, who encouraged him to try his luck in the world of acting.

Later he appeared in the sequel Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017) and the film broke the previous record to become the second highest grossing Indian film worldwide.
