After completing his high school, he joined a theater group near Pune. He has acted in many Marathi theater plays. She started her acting career in the Marathi TV serial, ‘Mazhiya Priyala Preet Kalena’ in 2010.

Well, I auditioned for the role and got it. Earlier I had known about Baba Saheb Ambedkar as all common people know through school textbooks, but there is much more to his story. When I got the role, I started reading about him, his biography and even his amazing and eye-opening autobiography. I really believe that his story needs to be told and only in a serialized format because it’s such a big story and I don’t think a movie or a documentary can do it justice. I think it’s a big responsibility to play such a character and when you get the chance, the first thing to do is to know everything about the personality and every detail about his life. Knowing about him is the basic work I am doing now, besides, looking like him is my goal. I had lost a lot of weight before this show and it looks like now I have to gain a lot of weight. Not only that, but I have also enrolled myself in a law college in Pune, just to learn a little about the Constitution.”
