Prashansa Sharma was born on 31st July, and she hails from Jhumri Telaiya in Jharkhand. She did her schooling at Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun, and then she went on to pursue her graduation at Hindu College, Delhi University. Thereafter, she pursued a course in theatre and acting from Drama School, Mumbai. She has also studied at the Prague Film School, Czech Republic. During her childhood days, Prashansa Sharma actively participated in various extra-curricular activities like dance, plays, and dramas.

Career
In 2015, Prashansa Sharma made her digital debut with a cameo appearance on the show Baked in which she played the role of an apartment girl.
Thereafter, in 2017, she appeared in the web series Office vs. Office in which she played the role of a model. In 2018, she appeared in the action crime series Mirzapur season 1 in which she played the role of Radhiya, a maid at Tripathi Kothi who was raped by Munna Bhaiya. Prashansa gained popularity in Mirzapur season 2 when her character, Radhiya, took revenge on the Tripathi family by murdering Satyanand Tripathi, the grandfather of Munna Bhaiya.
Other series in which she appeared include Dosti Ka Naya Maidan (2020), Four More Shots Please (2020), Illegal – Justice, and Out of Order (2020).
