Pregnant Meghan Trainor Applauds Husband Daryl Sabara’s Shaving Skills: ‘He Shaved Everything’

Meghan Trainor is candid about her pregnancy lifestyle.

Grooming during the third trimester is a real struggle for moms-to-be, but not for the “All About That Bass” musician, as she enlists the help of her husband, Daryl Sabara, to get the job done. In a recent interview, the mother of one revealed that the actress’ shaving skills came in handy during the final days of her first pregnancy.

As fans await Trainor’s new book “Dear Future Mama: A TMI Guide to Pregnancy, Birth and Motherhood,” which explores the ups and downs of pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood, “The Voice UK” 2020 judges chatted with PEOPLE and shared the wonderful news of her first pregnancy.

She remembers her man stepping in to shave her legs – and everything else – when she was expecting their first child. “For the C-section, I don’t know why, but I was like, ‘I want a clear path. I don’t want anything in the way, so make it pretty down there,’ so they can see everything. And she did that’s for me.”

Since the doting husband didn’t fail the first time, the Grammy award winner for baby number two will be relying on his help once again to stay hair-free. “I told him yesterday, ‘I’m at that point where I can’t see, I can’t reach, I can’t bend.’ He would do anything for me,” he added.

The singer-songwriter’s praise for her man goes beyond his parenting and nurturing skills. She revealed that she was supportive even after giving birth. “He changed my diaper; he would take my bloody panties and throw them away… I had a C section; how can I stoop to pick up my underwear and diaper?”

Since the couple were introduced by her friend Chloë Grace Moretz, they have remained inseparable. The couple’s love story continued on Instagram shortly after their date with Moretz and her then-boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham.

The “No” artist declared their relationship public with a sweet Instagram post on October 14, 2016. She captioned a selfie of the two, “I ❤️Madrid … and this guy.” Soon after, “The Last Chance Detectives” actor showed he’s a caretaker when he helped Trainor through her second vocal cord surgery.

On “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” she said she knew she was a person “because she learned sign language for me, so I would spell words for her.” It was fitting that Sabara proposed to Trainor a year and a half later, on the eve of her 24th birthday. He revealed the moment on Instagram, writing:

“He proposed to me under a beautiful tunnel of Christmas lights and surprised me with my family and friends. I’m still in shock. I’ve never been this happy!”

The budding relationship was still on track in the following months when they tied the knot a year later on Trainor’s 25th birthday. For practical reasons, including his visit, the couple waited about two years to start their family.

On October 7, 2020, the couple announced that they were expecting a baby during a TV appearance, and on February 8, 2021, they became parents to a son named Riley. Earlier this year, on January 30, the lovely couple shared the news of their second pregnancy.
