The couple had hoped to move to Santa Barbara to the exclusive community of Hope Ranch but the homeowners association found out about the move and laid down their, well, laws. Sources in the area claim that residents are worried about the move because of all the “baggage” they carry.
They allegedly don’t hate the royal couple but they like their privacy and quiet. They fear that the couple will bring a level of chaos that no one on the street is used to. Another real problem they fear is traffic. Santa Barbara already has traffic problems that could increase it by a thousand.

The couple’s move could be a real problem for the old-fashioned narrow streets of Hope Ranch. Apparently school buses already have a hard enough time navigating some roads. This worries parents who know that the royals come with the paps on their heels.
According to one report, “The streets there are narrow and winding, and with would-be paps flocking to catch the Royals … some residents fear it could pose a danger, especially for children playing and walking to school.”
The couple will be among other rich people who value their privacy but they will definitely be the richest couple family on the block. Something like that could increase the value of the city… maybe.

It seems neighbors at their current location have nothing but great things to say about the actress and her royal husband.
