Prince Harry’s security woes continue as the Duke of Sussex loses a legal battle against the UK government for a police escort.

A representative for the 38-year-old claimed the Prince’s safety “was compromised due to the lack of police protection” after the event.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex personally fund a private security force for their family, but that security cannot replicate the police protection required in the UK,” the source explained.
The whistleblower stated that the “Live to Lead” star did not want to burden the British taxpayer and initially offered to pay for police protection to protect his family in January 2020. However, his request was rejected.

Given his determination to protect his loved ones, Harry earned the right to challenge the Home Office ban. Last summer, four of the five reasons put forward by the Prince were deemed “arguable” in court.
The first hearing takes place in July 2022 at the High Court in London, where the Sussexes’ security is claimed to be on a “flexible, case-by-case basis”. However, the “Harry & Meghan” star’s lawyer denied this statement, stating, “what is sometimes flexible means no security.”
