Prince Harry Snubbed By Royal Family On His 39th Birthday, After Wife Meghan Got The Same Treatment

The royal family appeared to be dismissive of Prince Harry’s birthday by not saying any public wishes for him. The Duke of Sussex, who turns 39 on September 15, has not received any recognition from the royal family’s social media. The account shared photos of other royals.

Harry, however, received happy birthday wishes from the Invictus Games athlete with whom he spent the special day. The prince is reportedly planning to leave for America with his wife, Meghan Markle, without visiting his family. This follows his decision to cut ties with his old life as a full-time king.

Instead, royal accounts spent the day posting about Prince William, King Charles and other royals.

According to Daily Mailrepresentatives from Buckingham Palace stated their decision to post updates only on senior members of the Royal Family.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, faced similar treatment on her birthday, August 4, as she did not get a public birthday greeting from the Royal family.

The boast comes after the prince decided to give up his royal title following his marriage to Meghan. Harry has spent little time away from his family and even refused to visit them during a recent stopover in Britain ahead of his trip to Germany for the Invictus Games.

The Invictus Games family gave Harry a royal welcome during one of their sporting events, which are organized each year for sick and injured service members. During the ceremony, a representative announced the prince’s birthday and asked him to stand for a hearty “Happy Birthday.”

He asked, “Is anyone here celebrating their special occasion today? Birthday anyone? Oh, I think it’s someone’s birthday. A certain Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, 39 today.”

The Duke and Duchess were all smiles as Harry stood to receive their birthday wishes. Stephen Keller, the mayor of Düsseldorf, then presented Harry with a happy birthday cake and wished him long life and success. The cake was decorated in the colors of the Invictus Games and read, “Happy Birthday Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex.”

Before attending the ceremony, Harry spent the night watching volleyball and drinking German beer. The prince was later seen drinking beer at the restaurant with his wife that night. He previously stopped drinking while Meghan was pregnant with their son Archie.

During that time, Harry stopped drinking caffeine and alcohol altogether, maintaining juice and tea to support his wife during her pregnancy. The prince also reportedly quit smoking during that period in 2018.

Amidst rumors of the couple ending their marriage, Harry and Meghan’s recent outings have proven they are hard to believe. Royal commentator Ulrike Grunewald recently stated to Vanity Fair that Harry looks “happier” than he has in years, and he owes this to Meghan.

He explained, “Now that Meghan is here, she’s forgotten. They have held hands, cheering on competitors at various matches and games. They seem intimate and very close. Either that or they are very good actors. From where I watched, they looked very much in love.”

The Duke and Duchess confirmed this with their appearance at the Invictus Games basketball match between the United States and France.

During the game, pictures captured the prince holding Meghan’s hand and whispering into her ear. The duchess also loved her husband so much when she comforted him in a stressful moment. Both finally glowed with excitement when the USA team won a basketball game against France. Their PDA at the match countered rumors of the couple’s plans to end their marriage.
