In one heart-warming image, Priscilla carries a napping baby Lisa Marie, while another black-and-white photo features the late Elvis and shows the trio as a young family.
The mother and daughter pair looked happy in more recent pictures as they posed for the camera with the beaming late singer while her mother flashed a subtle smile.
“Today is Lisa’s 55th birthday,” Priscilla wrote in the caption. “My desire is to protect my three grandchildren and keep our family together.” He continued, “From the first moment I held Lisa in my arms, I have protected, loved, and guided her as I have my son. Our hearts are broken, and I have to learn to live without my only daughter.”
The 77-year-old didn’t leave his supporters out of the message as he conveyed his heartfelt love, appreciating their prayers in the midst of this difficult time.
“Thank you so much for caring about our family,” she concluded, signing off with a rose emoji and her name. Sympathy poured in for the heartbroken mum, with many advising her to stay strong while a few pointed to her competition for the deceased’s will from her grandson Riley Keough.
One commenter said, “Wow, doesn’t seem to be the same person who fought with his granddaughter over an inheritance that wasn’t rightfully hers.”
A second user added, “She forgot to say she disputed her daughter’s will,” before another wrote that Priscilla shouldn’t be fighting Riley over money that isn’t hers. The same commenter later stated that his overreaching was not good given that it was LMP’s choice to exclude him from the will.
A third fan, however, sided with Priscilla, writing, “So sad… I hope Riley knows it’s in her and her sister’s best interest to keep Mr. Lockwood from having any control over the Presley estate until the twins grow up to help Riley protect Graceland. It’s not his place in any way, considering what he did to Lisa before… he’s no Presley either!”
According to reports, more than a decade before the Hollywood star’s death, he appointed his mother and former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees of his estate in a restatement. By 2020, another legal document showed the two agreed to be joint trustees
However, after LMP’s death, a 2016 record was found, amending the 2010 Trust and removing Siegel and Priscilla as trustees. The doc replaced them with the “Storm & Grace” star’s children Riley and Benjamin as successors to his estate; unfortunately, Benjamin took his own life in 2020.
Priscilla recently filed to contest the will, and in court records obtained by The Blast, she points out numerous issues regarding the “authenticity and validity” of the 2016 amendment. One of those issues is the misspelling of her name along with LMP’s alleged signature. , far different from his “usual and usual signature”.
The septuagenarian also stated that there were no witnesses to the facts that prompted him to appeal for the early 2010 Trust to be confirmed and confirmed to put him back in control of his daughter’s estate.
