Priya Anand was born as ‘Priya Bharadwaj Anand’ on Wednesday, 17 September 1986 (age 33 years; as in 2019) in Chennai. His zodiac sign is Virgo. He grew up in Chennai and Hyderabad. His family moved to the United States, about 19 years ago. He earned a Major in Communications (minors in business, journalism and African studies) from the State University of New York at Albany (SUNY Albany). He came to India in 2008, and since then, he lives with his grandparents in Chennai.

Fascinated by films, since his childhood, he wanted to get into the technical aspects of film making and wanted to work as an assistant director to S. Shankar. Instead, she ventured into modeling and worked on several commercials like Natural Maha Lacto (with Mahendra Singh Dhoni), Prince Jewelery Diamond Collection (voiced by Bharati Raja), Cadbury Dairy Milk (Diwali special), etc.
Priya was supposed to make her acting debut with the Tamil Film “Pugaippadam” (2010), but the film was released 2 years later. Her first release came with the film “Vaamanan” (2009), where she played the role of ‘Divya.’
Priya Anand made her Telugu debut with the film “Leader” (2010), in which she played the role of ‘Ratna Prabha.’
She made her Bollywood debut with the movie “English Vinglish” in 2012, where she played the role of ‘Radha.’
She made her Malayalam debut with the film “Ezra” (2017) in the role of ‘Priya.’
She made her Kannada debut with the movie “Raajakumara (2017)” as ‘Nandini.’

- On 20 April 2019, a twitterati labeled Anand as ‘bad luck’ to his co-stars Sridevi and JK Rithesh, who had acted with him in the films “English Vinglish” and “LKG,” respectively. Citing the logic behind his statement, he said that both the actors died after acting with him. Anand responded that the troll’s comment was ‘insensitive.’ He further added-
But please be aware that what you say can really cause a lot of pain in people. So before you make such a comment, I hope you take some time and practice being empathetic and refrain from such petty petty behavior”
