Lately, despite her busy schedule, the Bollywood actress has been focusing on her little one, which is no surprise. Malti, a regular fixture on her mother’s Instagram page, once again appeared on Chopra’s Chopra’s IG Story in the early hours of May 9.

The post shows the adorable one-year-old sitting on a bed, staring at something away from the camera. She wore a blue floral printed dress with small silver and blue earrings.

Unbeknownst to Chopra and her husband, Nick Jonas, whom she married in December 2018, welcomed baby Malti via surrogate—a week before blessing fans with a heartwarming glimpse of her daughter, the Bollywood alum opened up about her worries while her daughter was in the unit neonatal intensive care.

Speaking to TODAY, the 40-year-old shared his reaction to finding out his baby girl arrived earlier than expected. She remembered Nick supporting her with his shoulder and feeling lost.

The “Aitraaz” actor recalled how his lover instructed him, “Just get in the car with me.” He added, “And we drove to the hospital. He was born, and from the moment he took his first breath until now, he’s never been without one of us.”

Chopra, during an interview, dropped her two cents about the harrowing period, saying, “I don’t think it was our test. I think that’s his test.”

The Indian native later revealed that she experienced a surge of emotions when her daughter left the NICU and returned home – one of which was the constant anxiety she experienced due to the absence of a monitor constantly making sure her daughter was breathing.

The former pageant queen spoke of sleep deprivation as she had to check if her daughter was always breathing properly. He explained, “I used to put my ear on his chest. I would wake up every few minutes to see if he was OK. For weeks, this went on.”

Chopra Says Freezing Her Eggs Gave Her Freedom And Choice

Before she knew she was going to start a family with the “Jealous” singer, the actress decided to freeze her eggs at age 35 to focus on her career. This empowering experience has led her to lend her voice to support women who choose to freeze their eggs.

During an episode of the “Armchair Expert” podcast, he revealed that he feels such “freedom” when making decisions. In the words of the “Baywatch” actress, “I did it in my early 30s. I can continue to fight for the ambitions that I want to achieve. I want to go to a certain place in my career.”

However, the “Citadel” actress believes that science through frozen eggs has given women “the best gift” because they can control their biological clock. “You can work for as long as you want. Your eggs will still be the same age as when you froze them,” he concluded.
