Priyanka Chopra Jonas has opened up about why she quit the Indian film industry despite making a name for herself.
The actress, who is married to singer Nick Jonas, explained that she left the industry to start over in the US because she was tired of politics.
After moving to the US, she landed a starring role in ABC’s “Quantico” and has since starred in “Baywatch,” “White Tiger” and “Matrix Resurrection.” In addition, he will appear in Amazon’s “Citadel” and the romantic comedy “Love again.”

During her appearance on the “Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard” podcast, Priyanka discussed why she left Bollywood to pave a new path in Hollywood.
The actor shared that despite being a big star in the film industry, he was “tired of the politics” played by some actors and felt it was time to take a break.
Priyanka recalled, per various, “I was pushed into a corner in the industry. I’ve had people not send me for reasons… I’ve had beefs with people. I’m tired of politics. I was just like, ‘I need a break.’”
His first career foray away from his homeland saw him delve into music, an untapped part of his talent.
Commenting on the experience, the actor said it gave him “an opportunity to go to another part of the world” and not have to starve for the movie roles he wanted to get in his home country, which would have required him to “defeat something certain.” clubs and groups of people.”

During an appearance on Dax Sheperd’s podcast, he explained the show’s narrative, saying it spans multiple languages.
“Because it is a global spy organization that will be America’s plan. It is an English speaking show. And then we have the Indian show, which is my character’s origin story. There’s an Italian show that we just finished production on, which is another original story. So basically, the stories are all interconnected, that we’re moving through time, we’re in a local country speaking a local language,” Chopra Jonas said.
The actress will also star in the James C. Strouse film “Love Again” alongside Sam Heughan and Celine Dion.
