Priyanshu Kshatriya aka Priyanshu Thakur was born in 2004 (age 18; in 2022) in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was not interested in studies and used to wander around with his friends and play cards or sell charcoal with them.

Career
He acted in the film Jhund with Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. He said in an interview that he was selling coal near a factory when he was approached by some Anjuman college students, and they videotaped his dancing and dialogue delivery. He didn’t realize that they were filming the video as an audition for the movie. After 15 days, he was approached by the director of the film Jhund, Nagraj Manjule. They first approached his mother; however, he tells them to leave, and they find Priyanshu playing cards with his friends on the railway tracks. His role as Babu Chettri was much appreciated.

Controversy
Arrested for stealing a phone
In 2021, a group of thieves were caught by the Nagpur Railway Police. Priyanshu Kshatriya’s name is included in the list. Police seized 14 mobile phones from them.
Arrested for stealing jewelery worth Rs 5 Lakh
In November 2022, a resident of Nagpur’s Mankapur area, Pradeep Mondave, lodged a complaint against the theft of jewelery worth Rs 5 Lakh from his house. Nagpur police arrested a minor who took the name of Priyanshu. He was later arrested on November 22, 2022, and the court ordered his custody till November 25, 2022. The stolen jewelery was recovered from a pigeon box in Gaddigodam area.

- His film Jhund was shot in the Gaddigodam area of Nagpur, the same area, from where, the police received stolen goods in the 2022 theft.
- He also appeared on the show Kitchen Kalakar on Zee Marathi to promote his film Jhund.
