The woman who spent 43 days on the lam after allegedly killing professional racer Anna Moriah Wilson in a jealous rage tried to make another daring escape from a Texas prison Wednesday.
Kaitlin Armstrong, 34, had just finished a doctor’s appointment and was being led by two corrections officers back to a transport vehicle “as she ran,” Travis County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Kristen Dark said.
The suspected killer ran more than a block into a residential area before officers could recapture him.
It’s unclear whether Armstrong was wearing shackles or handcuffs when he escaped from deputies, but the department said officers did not draw their firearms and were able to keep him in their sights for the entirety of his brief escape.
He was taken to the hospital for evaluation after the incident and returned to his Austin jail cell.
Armstrong’s attorney, Rick Cofer, did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment — a staffer who answered the phone said the case was under a gag order.

Armstrong is awaiting trial in the May 2022 shooting death of Wilson, 25, while the professional racer was in Austin for a race he was among the favorites to win.
Prosecutors believe the former yoga teacher killed Wilson after learning her then-boyfriend Colin Strickland, also a professional cyclist, dated the victim while out with Armstrong.
Armstrong was questioned by the police but quickly fled the country.
