Aoki Lee Simmons has been busy walking the runway this week during New York Fashion Week.
During his last NYFW as a Harvard University student, since he was getting ready to graduate, Aoki had a lot of support by his side this week. His mother, Kimora Lee Simmons, model and founder of Baby Phat, along with his sister Ming Lee, were there to cheer Aoki on every step of the way.

Kimora, a veteran model herself, sat front row at Sergio Hudson’s runway show over the weekend as she cheered on daughter Aoki, 20, as she walked the runway twice. Hudson, known for its high-profile clientele, launched its latest collection of ’90s nostalgia at Spring Studios in Manhattan this week.
Hudson told Associated Press that he didn’t design this year’s collection with anyone in mind. “I’m proud of the American fashion industry because of the steps they’re taking to be more inclusive,” he said. “They’ve made a quantum leap in the last year or two.”

Aoki shared a carousel of photos and videos on his Instagram page of the exciting runway show. She captioned it, “Sergio’s angelssss ?? Thank you so much @sergiohudson for including me in your show, your vision of a super cool, fierce ADULT woman, and giving my mom a chance to drop me a note from the front row! Your continued belief in me over the past year has changed my life, my career, and my self-image forever. Which teenager??? We adore you and I hope to never let you down! ???”
In the carousel, Kimora’s pride shined as she carried her daughter as she strutted her stuff on the runway in a charcoal denim long-sleeved button-front top and shorts with a black belt and black platform heels while belting out Megan Thee Stallion’s “Her” . played.

Aoki also joined Kim Shui’s show and shared some highlights in a carousel of photos and videos on Instagram. This performance marks the first time she has opened a NYFW show since she was a child.
“First time I’ve opened a NYFW show since I’m half this height ? Clearly I have a thing for bada$$ Asian female designers whose names start with K! @kimshuistudio ?? Thank you so much for including me, for trusting me with your art and the incredible message you send to the world, to women, to aapi people and to the fashion industry about what we can do!!! Proud to wear this K ?,” said Aoki in the caption of the social media post.
Aoki also shared a few moments from all the excitement on his Instagram Stories.

Kimora talked about how proud she was of her daughter-in-law after Kim Shui’s performance in a NYFW Instagram Story. “I love you Aoki. You are doing a great job,” he said enthusiastically. In the next slide, Aoki’s sister Ming talks about the experience. “I literally just saw my little sister walk the runway naked and she killed it — and I was so happy for her,” Ming said.
