Puja Sharma is the daughter of Yashpal Sharma, a former Indian cricketer (middle order batsman) who played for the Indian cricket team in the 1970s and 80s. Yashpal was a member of the Indian cricket team that won the World Cup in 1983. Puja’s mother’s name is Renu Sharma.
He has an older sister, Preeti Sharma, and a younger brother, Chirag Sharma. Preeti settled in the US and married a Delhi-based businessman named Vaibhav Tyagi. Chirag is pursuing his studies in London.

- Puja lost her father, Yashpal Sharma on 13 July 2021. He was 66 years old at the time of his death. His last rites were held at the Lodhi crematorium in New Delhi. Sharma’s former teammates like Madan Lal and Chetan Sharma attended his funeral.
- Puja’s father, Yashpal Sharma, was a key member of the Indian cricket team that won the 1983 World Cup. He was one of the nine cricketers who played in all eight matches at the World Cup. In 2021, a Hindi language sports film titled ’83’ has been released which depicts the story of India’s incredible Cricket World Cup victory that took place in 1983. The role of Yashpal in the film is played by Jatin Sarna (actor).
