Before becoming a social media star, Puneet worked in a company in Ghaziabad, where his income was Rs 10,000 per month. In 2015, he lost his job and did not find another job for 1-2 months. Later, he started making lip sync videos on TikTok at the suggestion of one of his cousins. However, he did not get many views on his videos, but he still continued to post videos for almost six months. After some time, one of his videos went viral where he got 1300 views and 96 likes. This prompted him to make more videos. He then started making comic videos based on everyday life events, which received a positive response from the audience. His video ‘Apne maa baap ke tukdo pe palke so jaunga’ was one of his most loved videos which later proved to be a breakthrough in his career. Many Bollywood stars like Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor and various social media stars later lip-synced using this video.
In August 2022, he created a YouTube channel titled ‘Puneet Super Star,’ where he started posting vlogs and funny videos. As of June 2023, his channel has more than 12 Million views.
Bigg Boss OTT 2
In 2023, he joined the reality digital series Bigg Boss OTT 2 as a contestant. On the first day of the show, he smeared toothpaste all over his face and tried to damage the property of the Bigg Boss House, after which he got a stern warning from Bigg Boss and was asked to improve his behavior. However, Puneet refused to do so and threatened to leave the show. After this, he was evicted from the show, becoming the first contestant to leave the Bigg Boss House within 24 hours.
