In January 2016, Pushpika De Silva married Thilanka Dabarera, who is a commercial pilot and businessman. Pushpika and Thilanka were blessed with a baby boy on 31 October 2016. The marriage did not work out after 2017, and Pushpika De Silva declared that she was no longer living with her husband. Pushpika and Thilanka are not divorced yet.

Career
Pushpika De Silva started her career in 2009 as a model. She has walked the runway for many popular Sri Lankan designers. In 2010, Pushpika participated in the Miss Sri Lanka pageant. Pushpika De Silva was one of the top 5 contestants of Miss Sri Lanka 2010. She was not satisfied without winning the crown, and in 2011, she participated again in the Miss Sri Lanka pageant and won the pageant.

In 2020, Pushpika De Silva won the title of Miss Sri Lanka Bride. In the same year, Pushpika registered herself for the Miss Sri Lanka pageant. On April 4, 2021, Mrs. World 2020, Caroline Jurie crowned Pushpika De Silva as the winner of Mrs. Sri Lanka 2021. Due to some controversial reasons, she could not take home her crown that day but after clearing all the queries Pushpika De Silva was given back her crown on April 6 2021.
Controversy
On April 4, 2021, Sri Lanka witnessed a dramatic event at the Miss Sri Lanka 2021 water pageant. Pushpika De Silva grabbed all the headlines when the Miss Sri Lanka crown was taken from her head by Miss World 2020, Caroline Jurie. According to Caroline, Pushpika doesn’t deserve the title calling it a “divorce.” Pushpika De Silva left the stage in tears, and later, she took legal action against Caroline Jurie. After much discussion and questioning, the crown was returned to Pushpika De Silva on April 6, 2021.
