Putin ally falls to death from third-floor window under mysterious circumstances

Vladimir Egorov, a political ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, was found dead on Wednesday after allegedly falling from a third-floor window, according to Russian state media.

Egorov, 46, a member of Putin’s United Russia party who serves as a Tobolsk City Duma deputy, jumped from a third-floor window of a house in Tobolsk in the Tyumen Region, Russian Telegram channel Baza reported.

The prominent politician was found in the front yard of the house with “no signs of criminal death on the body,” according to reports.

Egorov may have suffered heart problems before the 30-foot plunge, according to news channel 72.

“One of the most likely reasons is a heart problem,” said an interlocutor.

Heart issues are often given as an explanation for the sudden or suspicious deaths of prominent people in Russia, especially since the start of the war against Ukraine.

Pathologists are awaiting the results of an official autopsy to determine Egorov’s cause of death.

Police are investigating what exactly caused him to fall, Baza reported.

Egorov, a lawyer, was forced out of the city administration in 2016 following a corruption scandal for which he was not convicted.

After returning to politics, Egorov became one of the richest local deputies in Tobolsk, a leading oil city, with an income of 9.1 million rubles (about $100,500), according to RBC.
