A few days before we witnessed the historic ceremony, we saw a life-like sculpture of Queen Camila. According to Hello Magazine, the waxwork was delicately crafted to look exactly like the future Queen with her striking features. The statue has a similar skin tone to the new queen, a bright smile, and curly blonde hair.

The lifelike model wore a re-imagined gown worn by Camila at the Diplomatic Reception in December 2022. The ensemble, styled by designer Anna Valentine, was a stunning long-sleeved dark blue gown with gold jewels at the waist.

The effigy is adorned with a replica of the Queen’s Belgian sapphire tiara, and draped over it is a royal blue sash with the star of the Garter placed on it. The new waxwork will stand with statues of King Charles, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the late Queen, and the Duke of Edinburgh in the Throne Room.

Speaking about the new royal statue and its significance, Tim Waters, general manager of Madame Tussauds, said: “Although for many people this will be their first experience of a coronation, the coronation of King Charles III will be the eighth that Madame Tussauds London has had. celebrated.”

The late Queen Mary wore the precious jewel when she attended the coronation with her husband, King George V, in 1911. However, some changes will be made to the crown to include a special tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

King Charles III Given Holy Gifts By Pope Before Coronation Ceremony

Camilla wasn’t the only one to receive gifts ahead of the coronation. A few weeks ago, King Charles III received a grant from Pope Francis, which was reportedly linked to Jesus Christ.

For the upcoming royal ceremony, the Archbishop of Wales, the Most Reverend Andrew John, blessed the cross that will lead the procession. Added to the cross are two unique holy gifts – also known as the “Welsh Cross” – from Pope Francis.

The gift from the head of the Catholic Church was two pieces of wood allegedly removed from the “true cross,” the term used for the actual cross Jesus died on centuries ago. The Bishop of Rome described the wooden pieces as a “personal coronation gift” to the King. The sacred wood is then placed in the center of the Welsh Cross.

Commenting on the precious gift, the Archbishop of Wales told a news channel, “It is very important. It is a remarkable thing that the King has been able to find help with the Vatican. And because of that perfect relationship, Pope Francis has agreed to gift this small fragment of the holy cross.”

The Welsh Cross was made in 2020 by the Goldsmiths’ Company in London by order of the King. It was created to mark the 100th anniversary of the Church in Wales and is made using environmentally friendly materials. The commemorative symbol of Wales is made from recycled silver ingots with durian wood and Welsh slate.

Also featured on the symbol is the “Mark of the King”, which was carved by His Majesty when he visited the Goldsmiths for the first time in November 2022. Additionally, the sacred object has a vignette from the patron saint of Wales, the last sermon of St. David.
