The late Queen Elizabeth II had “high hopes” for the leading ladies in Prince William and Prince Harry’s lives to work together, a royal expert has claimed.
Royal author Ingrid Seward suggested Her Majesty, whose family marked the one-year anniversary of her death on Friday, would like to see Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton join the royal ranks.
“Prince Harry’s place in the royal family has changed dramatically since his grandmother died and his father became King,” Seward told The Mirror.
“From the prominent role he will have, Harry has been relegated to the bottom of the royal list. Almost but not an outsider.”
“The queen has high hopes that the four of them will lead the royal government in the future. Sharing the sometimes challenging, more boring tasks and supporting their father in the future when he is no more,” he added.

Seward, who wrote the 2003 biography “William & Harry,” claimed the late monarch was “very sad” when Harry and Meghan left the royal family and sent him to the United States.
“The Queen has always preferred a group of young, light-hearted people like her grandson Harry, to intellectuals,” shared Seward.
“Harry will be the first to admit that an expensive private school education gave him nothing but a quick wit and an excellent talent for imitation,” the royal expert continued.

“But she always ‘gets it’ and brings great cheer to those she meets at official royal engagements. The same goes for Meghan. He smiled, pressed flesh and embraced the crowd in an embracing way.”
“They are the perfect foils for William and Kate, who are polished and professional but still full of laughter,” she added.
It’s no secret that tensions between Harry and his estranged family have been running high in recent years.
Things took a turn for the worse following the January release of her memoir, in which she claims her father branded her a “spare” from birth.
In a desperate bid to repair their strained relationship with Prince William, the Sussexes are hoping to rent an apartment at Kensington Palace, according to a report.
