Bethenny Frankel gave “Vanderpump Rules” star Rachel ‘Raquel’ Leviss a chance to tell her story this week on her podcast.
In a three-part series released this week, Leviss, 28, gave his perspective on “Scandoval,” the event that has propelled “Vanderpump Rules” directly into the popular culture frenzy of 2023. News broke earlier this spring of Leviss’ affair with Tom Sandoval, 40. Sandoval has been dating Leviss’ close friend Ariana Madix for nearly 10 years. The affair propelled the show and the cast beyond reality TV circles and into the national news circuit. The three-part reunion of VPR’s tenth season broke a major ratings milestone for Bravo.
Since the reunion aired in May, Leviss has not spoken about her affair with Sandoval or the backlash she received after “Scandoval.”
The “Real Housewives of New York” alumna gave Leviss to do just that in this week’s three-part episode. Episode one was released on Wednesday, August 16, with the conclusion of the conversation released today, August 18.
Leviss discussed everything from Bravo’s reception to her needs, “Insiders” reportedly refused to deny rumors that she had gone to the spa instead of treatment, and how the lessons she learned in treatment helped her overcome “Scandoval.”
Leviss Talks About Bravo’s Treatment Of Her Mental Health
Explosion
Last month, The Blast reported on Leviss’ efforts to get better pay from the network.
Her decision to abstain from filming the next season of “Vanderpump Rules” has reportedly led her to focus on her family life and mental health in Arizona.

Leviss’ mental health care was reportedly an element of concern ahead of the reunion; reality star discussed the reception and Bravo’s process in providing Leviss with resources with Frankel.
According to the reality star, she was allegedly promised a “mental health advocate” before the first two parts of the meeting. The attorney was reportedly supposed to be available to Leviss while he watched the first two parts of the meeting. However, as he told Frankel, the lawyer was allegedly taken from him the day before filming was scheduled to begin.
Leviss attributed the network’s decision to being made after he was seen talking to paparazzi. She claims Bravo made the decision after the aforementioned interview in the belief she no longer needed mental health resources because of her decision to speak on camera.
The “Vanderpump Rules” star stated several times in interviews that Bravo refused to “reimburse” her for treatment costs. He went on to say he had a “theory” that the network would have to “acknowledge liability” if they reimbursed the star for his treatment.
Leviss Says He ‘Needs To Be Trapped’ In ‘Scandoval’ Affair For His Well-Being
Leviss has certainly experienced a new level of fame since news of her affair with Sandoval broke. He discussed the countless thoughts and conclusions he came up with with Frankel, but one of the bigger ones was probably the realization that he “needed” their relationship to be explored.
He called the scandal his “biggest wake-up call,” adding that he “had to get caught” to start working on himself.
Frankel soon asked if Leviss could see himself returning to the show, to which Leviss responded with “Hell no.” She added she “refused” to disrespect herself to the point where she would allow herself to continue to endure the level of emotional abuse she had experienced before.

Leviss broke his Instagram silence yesterday when he posted a promo for the podcast.
He also praised Kristen Doute for speaking out about comments Leviss made in part two about their ex, James Kennedy, on her Instagram story.
Leviss’ other ‘VPR’ co-stars have been silent on social media regarding the Leviss episode, until this writing.
All three episodes of Frankel’s conversation are now available to stream!
