Radhika Khanna is an Indian-American entrepreneur, fashion designer and author best known as the sister of Michelin star Indian chef Vikas Khanna. He is also known for designing costumes for many American television shows such as Kitchen Nightmares.

Career
Radhika Khanna started working at a very young age. She began working part-time at different restaurants in Manhattan while studying full-time at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York. He did this work to cover his personal and educational expenses. Shortly after earning a degree in fashion, she did an internship under the tutelage of Donna Karan, an American fashion designer and creator of the DKNY clothing brand. Radhika Khanna established her own fashion line ‘Estilo Inc’ in 2005. After receiving recognition as a designer, she also got the opportunity to design clothes for the American reality television series ‘Kitchen Nightmares.’ Besides being a fashion designer, she is also an author. He wrote several books on yoga. Her first book is titled ‘Pose: Yoga for the working professional.’ Some of her other books include ‘Yoga: From the Ganges to Wall Street and Standout: Yoga’ and ‘Self-defense: The complete guide to self-confidence for teenage girls.’ He was inspired to write this book after he himself became a regular practitioner of yoga and learned about its health benefits. She began practicing yoga after she was diagnosed with Lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus), an autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue in many parts of the body. He also suffers from Atypical hemolytic-uremic syndrome and yoga helps him fight this disease with great mind and energy. Radhika Khanna wrote this book to promote yoga and create awareness about it.

Death
On 28 February 2022, Radhika’s brother Vikas Khanna shared the news of her death through a social media post. The cause of his death was revealed to be multi-organ failure, which was the main cause of diseases such as lupus, kidney failure, and atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome, from which he suffered for a long time. Vikas took to Instagram to post a picture with his sister and share the tragic news with his fans and followers. He captioned the picture as,
My soul mate left me today. March 23, 1974 – Feb 28, 2022. He fought like a champ for years with Lupus, aHUS, kidney failure. But today due to multiple organ failure, my best friend died in my arms. Loveeeee you Radha forever & ever. TORN”
Further, he posted a compilation video on his Instagram account sharing some of his best memories with his sister. With a very heavy heart, he wrote,
Even though he is half conscious, he continues to tell the Dr that he wants to go home immediately and protect Viku. #MyRadha #SistersAreBlessing.”
Many Indian celebrities including Kapil Sharma, Vineet Bhatia, Shabana Azmi, Neena Gupta, and Aahana Kumra commented on the chef’s Instagram post paying tribute and offering condolences to Vikas and his family. Vineet Bhatia wrote,
The pain of losing a loved one is unparalleled. His beautiful memories will last forever and he will continue to protect you from heaven. Stay strong Om shanti.”
