Raj Hanchanale rose to fame with Zee Marathi TV show Tujhyat Jeev Rangla as Sunny Dada. The show depicts the story of Rana, a shy wrestler from Kolhapur, who comes across Anjali, a beautiful teacher, and falls in love with her. However, his shyness prevented him from expressing his feelings towards her.
She later played the lead role in the Sony Marathi show Jivachi Hotiya Kahili opposite Pratiksha Shivankar. This is a love story between Arjun, a Maharashtrian, and Revathi, a Kannadiga. The lovely couple belong to two different families with two different political ideologies.
