Rakesh Kumar (1941 – 2022) was an Indian filmmaker and scriptwriter. He is known for directing the famous Hindi films “Khoon Pasina,” “Mr Natwarlal,” “Yaarana,” and “Do Aur Do Paanch.” He died on 10 November 2022 after battling cancer for a long time.

Career
Rakesh Kumar worked as an assistant director in the 1973 film “Zanjeer” along with Prakash Mehra. He then directed the film “Khoon Pasina” in 1977. Thereafter, he went on to direct several superhit Hindi films such as “Dil Tujhko Diya,” “Commander,” “Kaun Jeeta Kaun Haara,” and “Suryavanshi.” Suryavanshi was his last film as a director, and in this film, he worked with Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
Rakesh Kumar was an acclaimed actor who appeared in some Bollywood films as an actor.
Death
On 10 November 2022, he passed away at the age of 81 in Mumbai, India. He was suffering from Cancer.
