Acid Attack Life Story
On 5 October 2006, Rangoli was attacked with acid by Avinash Sharma and Prem Singh. Avinash is from his hometown and a lover who is into Rangoli and Prem is a welder, who is Avinash’s accomplice in the crime. They threw acid on him at his rented residence in Rispana Colony, Dehradun. He was taken to the hospital and he underwent 57 surgeries. He had to get skin from the thigh and do a graft. She lost one ear, 90% of the vision in one eye and she has a non-functioning breast, even after undergoing the best medical care in the country. His sister Kangana supported him throughout his journey, she took care of him when the rest of his family failed to do so. In an interview, he talked about how he was struggling to live because his food and windpipe were badly damaged. The physical pain was one thing but the mental trauma he faced was immense. Her parents would faint every time they saw her. The man chosen by her parents and who became her fiancé, left her after the attack. He refrained from looking in the mirror for three months. Her parents often rage about what will happen to her, who will marry her and so on. In December 2017, the Dehradun Police arrested the main accused in the case and his accomplices.

- In 2017, After an interview on the Indian TV show ‘Aap Ki Adalat,’ Aditya Pancholi’s wife, Zarina Wahab, said why she considered Kangana as her daughter when she was dating her husband. In response, Rangoli showered her with a series of tweets for her accusations against her sister.
