Ranveer Singh was born in Bombay to a Sindhi Sikh family. His mother’s name is Anju Singh Bhavnani and his father’s name is Jagjit Singh Bhavnani. He also has an elder sister named Ritika Bhavnani. Before entering the acting industry, i.e. in 2007, he started working as a copywriter in the advertising industry.
Ranveer started his acting career in 2010 with the romantic film ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’. In 2013, he played the role of ‘Ram Rajari’ in the tragic romantic film ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’. In 2015, he was also seen as ‘Peshwa Bajirao I’ in the epic-historical drama film ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
