Rapper Jeezy claims his estranged wife, former “The Real” host Jeannie Mai, is “interfering” with his ability to bond with their daughter.
According to a legal document obtained by ExplosionJeezy accused Mai of interfering with his parenting time, stating that the informal agreement they had was ineffective, and hoped the courts would address the situation.
Jeezy filed for divorce from Mai in September and requested joint custody of Monaco.

In the legal filing, Jeezy accused Mai of acting like a “gatekeeper” whenever she wanted to spend time with her daughter.
He stated that they have already agreed to a tour schedule that will last until the end of the year, but Jeezy believes that the situation may cause them problems with co-parenting.
“[Mai] has acted as a gatekeeper when it comes to [Jeezy] exercise parenting time with [Monaco]” regarding the rapper’s parental rights as a father.
The legal filing states that Mai’s “interference” in Jeezy’s relationship with his daughter “caused confusion and tension” between the former couple and put pressure on the development of Jeezy’s relationship with Monaco.
It continued, “Therefore, it is necessary at this point to separate, structure and clearly define the parties’ temporary legal and physical custody rights and establish a parenting schedule that is consistent with the best interests of the Child.”
It’s important to note that Jeezy doesn’t believe his ex-wife did it on purpose. The rapper said he “doesn’t believe that (he) acted maliciously or with the specific intent to damage (his) relationship with the child.” Specifically, the legal filing states this several times, explaining it occurs in situations like these.

Jeezy recently spoke out, through a representative, on the end of his union with Mai, stating that he still loves the talk show host.
He noted that the decision “was not made impulsively and came with a heavy heart,” adding that “his love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a precious place in my heart.”
Jeezy continued, “Our beautiful daughter is the best gift of our relationship and I am committed to making sure she feels the love and stability she deserves. During this time, I ask that you respect our family’s privacy as we focus on healing.”

After Jeezy’s divorce filing in September, Mai reportedly tried to find common ground in order to save their marriage.
A source told People magazine that the talk show host was “hurt and devastated” by the rapper’s decision to split, adding that “she got married to stay married” and was “committed to trying to save her marriage.”
“They have had problems for a long time, but things have become very difficult over the past few months,” another source shared with the news outlet. “He spends most of his time in Atlanta, and he flies back and forth between there and LA. He’s backing off a little bit and trying to spend more time in Atlanta to sort out their issues.”
The insider added, “He obviously knows they have problems, but he doesn’t expect a divorce. Now he is trying to figure out what his future will look like and where he will live.”
According to other reports, Jeezy and Mai are still living under the same roof, which has led to “awkward” moments between the ex-lovers.
