Controversial rapper Kodak Black may face the wrath of the law once again after being arrested for possession of illegal drugs, specifically cocaine.

Black was reportedly arrested while in Plantation, Florida on Thursday and has been charged with possession of cocaine and tampering with physical evidence.

Black, real name Bill Kapri, was booked into the Broward County jail on Thursday following his arrest on charges of possession of cocaine, improper parking or stopping of a vehicle, and tampering with or tampering with physical evidence.

Black’s recent arrest comes amid many run-ins with the law in recent years. As we reported in July of last year, Black was recently arrested for drug possession in South Florida.

At the time of his arrest in 2022, the rapper was charged with trafficking oxycodone and possession of a controlled substance. He was later booked into Fort Lauderdale jail in Florida on Friday and was finally released on bail on Saturday.

The Florida Highway Patrol released a statement revealing that the trooper pulled the 25-year-old musician over because he was driving a purple Dodge Durango with window tint that “appeared to be darker than the legal limit.”

follow CNN, after pulling the car over, police officers detected the smell of marijuana and then searched his SUV. A search turned up about 31 white tablets in a small clear bag and nearly $75,000 in cash. The suspicious tablets were later revealed to be oxycodone.

Oxycodone is primarily prescribed as a severe pain medication and is considered highly addictive. A records check also revealed that the vehicle tag and driver’s license were expired.

After his arrest and detention, the “Zeze” rapper was released on bail the following day. The rapper’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, released a statement stating that they will try to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

“We’re going to get it bonded today and move forward with getting things done quickly.” He added, “Never judge a case based on an arrest. There are facts and circumstances that give rise to the defense, especially in this case.”

This is not the rapper’s first visit to prison. Black has been arrested several times on charges that include sexual assault of a teenager, forgery and trespassing.
