Rapper “Big Energy” Latto recently opened up about how negative comments from social media trolls have affected his self-esteem, leaving him insecure about his appearance.

Opening up on the premiere episode of her Apple Music show “777 Radio,” Latto revealed to her guest, Chloe Bailey, that she had seen derogatory comments online suggesting she looked like an “old white lady.”

Sharing that negative feedback on social media has exacerbated her insecurities, the 24-year-old rapper told Bailey, per Insider, “I never thought I looked old until I read it on the internet. Now I think I look like an old white woman.”

Bailey explained that she wore a corset and tried to “sit up straight and look forward” to avoid drawing attention to her outfit. However, when she went online, she saw lewd comments and sexual innuendos about her posture, saying she was “almost having sex with a chair.”

“I can’t just sit down?” Bailey stated. “I was like, ‘Now, I’m not spinning in my chair. I’m sitting like this. I’m sitting like this looking straight ahead.'”

Ahead of Bailey’s interview, Latto announced the show’s launch on Instagram. In the teaser trailer, the rapper dons a flight attendant’s uniform, welcoming his future listeners to “777 Air.”

“Welcome aboard the 777 Air. I’m Big Latto, and I’m going to be your flight attendant today,” he said in the clip. “Please put the BS on airplane mode and leave all your luggage at home. Because we’re going outside, baby. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride,” he added.

In a press release, Latto teased what fans should expect from the overall show saying, “I’m going to keep it very personal and play what I hear.” He also pledged his support for new artists who deserve more recognition stating, “I’m going to highlight new artists that I think the world needs to hear, artists that I think deserve more attention.”

Latto added, “I listen to a lot of female rap, so support the girls and a lot of Southern music.”
