Some critics slammed the rapper after he expressed his desire to see the former US President back in office during a recent podcast appearance. The backlash comes nearly three months after the viral sensation struck a cozy pose with rapper Drake.
Sexxy Red Attacked Because of Donald Trump’s Public Support Ahead of the 2024 Election
Merah, real name Janae Nierah Wherry, appeared on comedian Theo Von’s “This Past Weekend” podcast. While there, they discussed topics such as his journey to fame, personal loss and his support for the Republican Party.
The pair also discussed the “Ah Thousand Jugs” hitmaker’s thoughts on embattled former president Trump and his potential in the White House in 2024, with Von asking, “Do you think more people will support Trump now?”
“I like Trump, yeah, they support him in the hood. At first, I didn’t think other people f—— with him like they thought he was racist, said some s—, and you know, against women,” she began before adding, “But when he starts getting black people out of jail and giving people their free money. Oh, baby we love Trump, we need him back in office.”
After the host agreed that “a little free money would go a long way,” the 25-year-old noted that he enjoyed watching Trump interact with the crowd and the interview, calling it “brave” and “funny.” The controversial take, which also saw him insist that “we need people like him,” soon made its way to social media when video of the interaction arises on X.
Users of the application, formerly known as Twitter, soon posted their opinions, with one demanding, “Knowing sexy red is a role model supporter…this is the worst day of my life.” One more be warned, “Stop putting sexy red Trump-loving s— on my TL. I want to remain ignorant.”

The last time Red made headlines was for her romance (or lack thereof) with Drake. Fans have been intrigued by the couple’s relationship after the Canadian-born star shared a photo of them chilling backstage after he stopped in Brooklyn, New York, as part of his “It’s All a Blur” tour.
In one of the images uploaded to his Instagram Story, the 36-year-old sat with the “Pound Town” rapper, putting his arm around her while kissing her cheek. At the same time, Red put his hands on the sides of his head, with his eyes closed and a frown on his face.
“Just met my legal wife,” the “Take Care” collaborator typed across the image, showing her wearing a black loose-fitting sweatshirt, matching leather pants and diamond earrings. For her part, Red paired her famous red hair with a white cropped leather jacket, ripped jeans, black-rimmed glasses and a tailored diamond-encrusted necklace.
