Rapper Xzibit has been sued by his ex-wife, Krista Joiner, for allegedly breaking a promise to take care of his finances for the rest of his life.
According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Krista claims the once-married couple had a “verbal agreement” that if she stayed home and took care of the household, the rapper would make sure she had “lifetime support.”
As we reported, the couple separated in 2021, and have fought over money in their divorce.
Interestingly, Krista is now suing in civil court over the “contract” – and says, “as long as the parties maintain their relationship, (Xzibit) will combine his skills, efforts, labor and income and will share equally with him and all property acquired and collected by him or by and through any entity in which he has an interest, or which increases in value or is entitled thereafter to acquire or accumulate.”

Regarding the promise, Kristan claims the agreement will “provide all financial support and needs for the rest of his life in the same style and manner as was established during the relationship of the parties.”
He continued, “If the relationship of the parties ends, all property acquired, or entity or business established, or property or entity/business that increased in value, during their relationship as a result of skill, effort (Xzibit), labor, and income , regardless of how the title is officially held, will be divided equally between them.”
In the couple’s divorce, Krista claimed the rapper hid his assets and claimed not to earn enough money to pay large amounts in support. In fact, he claims he crushed it in the weed business and earned a million dollars a month. That’s right…according to one report, Krista said the rapper’s brother told her he was taking home $1 million every 30 days from a marijuana company and stashed the cash in multiple locations using large safes. The brother said he personally kept $20 million in place for him, and got the rapper cash on demand.

Unfortunately, Xzibit’s ex-wife says she is the one going through a tough time after losing her job recently. Currently, she has no income to support herself or their son. The former rapper claims he ignored her requests for gas money, food, and even haircuts for their son.
In the new lawsuit, Krista gets specific about her role in the agreement for lifetime support — saying they agreed to remain husband and wife in public and that she would “provide further services,” which include “trust, companionship , social and business partners, housewives, maids and consultants to the Defendant in relation to financial and family matters.”
Krista also claimed that Xzibit repeated, on numerous occasions, his promise of lifelong support, financial security, and to share equally everything he earned and accumulated during their relationship.

In the end, he claimed there were times when he wanted to pursue career opportunities or any other activity that would take his time away from tending to Xzibit’s needs or their family’s needs, and Xzibit allegedly repeated its promise to support his individual needs.
It’s not clear how much he’s asking the rapper for but wants the judge to put a reasonable number on the amount for his “services”.
