Singer and actress Ray J’s wife, Princess Love, is seeking joint custody of their two children in her divorce filing.
According to court documents obtained by ExplosionLove cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.
The couple, who have been married since August 2016, have had a rocky relationship, having filed for divorce three times, with this being their fourth.

Love filed to legally end her marriage to Ray J on Monday, February 26, in a Los Angeles court. Now, details in official legal documents have revealed that he wants to have legal and physical custody of their children, Melody, 5, and Epik, 4.
The TV personality also demanded spousal support from Ray J.
Love’s divorce filing makes it the fourth time the estranged couple has tried to end their marriage.
Last year, Ray J was granted a divorce over his filing in 2021. The decision was made “without prejudice,” meaning the couple can file for divorce again.
The “One More Day in Heaven” singer talks about making peace with Love and how she plans to keep her family together.
“GOT TO GET MY WIFE BACK AND START FRESH,” Ray J said on Instagram on Jan. 17 while giving his followers a tour of the Las Vegas hotel he was staying at at the time. “I LOVE MY FAMILY!! I WILL FIGHT OVER AND OVER FOR MY LIFE FOR MY FAMILY AND CHILDREN!! – I WILL PUT EVERYTHING ON THE LINE FOR MY CHILDREN TO BE HAPPY AND SAFE AND CLOSE TO ME 24/7.”
Since the divorce filing, Ray J has yet to comment on the end of his marriage to Love personally, but the two shared a joint statement asking for privacy during this period in their lives.

Shortly after we broke the news of Ray J and Love’s divorce, the latter took to social media to address the issue by sharing what appeared to be a joint statement from her and Ray J.
The statement read: “Dear Friends and Family, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce. After much reflection, discussion and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged and it is in both of our best interests to separate.”
It continued, “We want to assure you that this decision was made thoughtfully and with mutual respect and consideration for each other’s well-being. Although our relationship as a couple may be coming to an end, we remain committed to co-parenting our children and maintaining a positive and supportive family dynamic.”
In their lengthy statement, the couple asked the public to respect their privacy during this difficult time in their lives.
They concluded, saying: “While this chapter of our lives may be closing, we hope to embrace the opportunities for growth, healing, and new beginnings that await. We are confident that with time, understanding, and the support of our loved ones, we will navigate this transition with grace and resilience. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
Capturing the post on Instagram, Love wrote, “Trusting GOD with the next chapter in our lives. Peace and love. Always.”
