In a recent interview with Drew Barrymore for an upcoming episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show,” the 42-year-old actress gave fans a look at how her proposal went down and how she felt about the big moment.

Recalling how she felt after that magical moment, the “Senior Year” actress said, “It was beautiful, and she said yes, and then I was like, ‘OK, great!’ And then I was so overwhelmed that after that we went on a ride, this new ride they had, and I kind of collapsed after that because I’d never been engaged before, or proposed, or proposed. So it was a very big thing in my life.”
He continued, “I literally collapsed on the floor for five minutes. And then I went, ‘OK, I’m good. Let’s get some churros and move on.'”
The “Hustle” star shared more about the preparations she made for the success of the proposal. According to him, he had to contact Disney CEO Bob Iger to get permission to propose inside the park. In her words, “He’s a big boss and I thought, ‘Well, if he says yes, then it should happen, and I should propose that day at Disneyland.'”
Wilson continued, “I had to get special permission to set up a special area and put in a topiary tree and, you know, I had a violinist playing like a Disney classic, and it was really, really romantic.”
With the permission granted now, the actress admitted that she had no idea how to propose. Wilson took a moment to recount how the proposal had gone down that day.
In his words, “He said yes. And I was like, ‘Am I on one knee? What am I doing?’ And I was like, ‘I can too,’ so I got down on my knees. And then he was like, ‘What are you doing?’ Dan said, “Well, you can’t be the only one on your knees,’ so he got down too.”
“Isn’t It Romantic?” the actor popped the question with a Tiffany & Co ring because the brand has sentimental value to them. Wilson admits that the Jewelry brand means a lot to them, saying, “Our friend Hugh, who set us up, gave us a Tiffany heart charm on our first date in Los Angeles in late 2021. So it was amazing to celebrate our engagement with a Tiffany ring which is beautiful.”
