Reena Chopra is an Indian artist who is famous as the mother of famous Indian actress Parineeti Chopra.

Reena Malhotra Chopra was born on Wednesday, 30 December 1964 (age 58 years; in 2022) in Singapore. He was raised by his parents in Nairobi, Kenya. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. Reena went to school in Nairobi. Later, he moved to India from Kenya and pursued an Architecture and Interior Design Apprenticeship along with a second degree in IT and Management; however, due to his marriage, he dropped out of his college. Influenced by art since childhood, Reeena was often appreciated for her artwork at school. In an interview, Reena spoke about this and said,
I think, I have always had a good drawing hand because I remember being appreciated for my diagrams and projects in school and college, and after that even when helping my young children with them. However, I never drew formally, I just dabbled. It has always been an instinctive and fun activity for me. I didn’t actually wake up one morning and say, ‘Eureka! I’m an artist.’

On 23 November 1986, Reena Chopra was married to Pawan Chopra, a businessman who worked as a supplier to the Indian Army in Ambala Cantonment. Reena met Pawan in one of her singing concerts while she was pursuing her formal education in India. Reena Chopra, during an interview, spoke about her marriage and said that being brought up in an NRI family in Nairobi, Kenya, she received a culture shock after marrying into an Indian family. He said,
Moving to India for my degree in Architecture and Interior Design Apprenticeship along with a second degree in IT and Management ended up with me getting married in India and that too in a very small town called Ambala. 35 years ago it was almost non-existent in all ways and typical rural townships with stereotypical thought processes and was a land forgotten by the world except for its military history. It was a huge culture shock for me at the time. These years, from coming from Kenya with a very open mind and upbringing, to carefully navigating and overcoming all kinds of obstacles and regressive traditional ideologies in the following years are basically the inspiration behind many of my artworks. .you can see the story of most of the girls then and now in my paintings.”

Career
In 2016, Reena Chopra started her career as a professional artist. In an interview, Reena said that her daughter, Parineeti Chopra, and sons, Sahaj Chopra and Shivang Chopra influenced her to pursue a career as an artist. He said,
My experiment with art started 5 years ago when my daughter decided enough was enough…I had to do something for myself, something constructive and personal now that I am free from most of the domestic obligations that prevent me from pursuing a career or a hobby. The parents are gone, the children are grown up and independent and the system has been implemented at home. He agreed with my son and they decided to buy every art supply they could think of and gift it to me for my birthday. It was a very pleasant surprise for me to be told “Stop making excuses now and start a business”!
Reena held art exhibitions in various places like Kenya, China, Paris, New Delhi and Chandigarh. Sonam Kapoor, Nimrat Kaur and Sukhbir Singh are some of her celebrity clients.

At first, the only way I could lose myself in something happy was through reading… as a small child, my birthday present was Enid Blytons followed by the fake world of Alfred Hitchcock, Willard Price, Agatha Christie, Sherlock Holmes, Georgette Hayer , Alistair Maclain, Clive Cussler, Robert Ludlum….the list is endless.
