Despite starring in various romantic comedies, what many consider the “king and queen” – Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon – have never starred with each other.
However, that changed because after years of wanting to work together, Kutcher and Witherspoon finally starred in the Netflix Original romantic comedy “Your Place or Mine.”
As the two began doing press for the film, Witherspoon admitted her first impression of the “No Strings Attached” actress.

Ashton Kutcher revealed that he and the “Legally Blonde” cast don’t know each other very well, which is a challenge considering that in the new Netflix movie, “Your Place Or Mine,” the two play best friends.
“We don’t know each other at all,” Kutcher told PEOPLE, to which Witherspoon added, “I’m worried because we’re supposed to be playing best friends [in the movie]so we started sending each other videos, like 30 seconds.
The video actually helped Kutcher and Witherspoon “build” the on-screen relationship they both needed to make this film possible.
Before filming “Your Place Or Mine,” Witherspoon and Kutcher had only met each other once — and it was a few years ago at a party.
“He brought his own drink,” Witherspoon said with a laugh, as he recalled the first time they met. “I think it’s charming. Like, ‘This is a unique man!”
Kutcher defended himself, quickly responding to Witherspoon, “That’s not my cooler! That’s someone else’s drink!”

Many fans didn’t hesitate to call out Ashton Kutcher for his “awkward” red carpet photo while he and Reese Witherspoon attended the premiere of the Netflix movie in Los Angeles last week.
The “What Happens In Vegas” actor is now talking about the reason behind his seemingly serious expression.
“Here’s the thing: If I hug her, and be like all nice to her, I’m going to have an affair with her,” Kutcher explained during an appearance on the “Chicks in the Office” podcast. “Like, the rumor is that I had an affair with him.”
Kutcher’s wife, “That 70s Show” actress Mila Kunis, also got in on the fun, emailing Witherspoon after the red carpet photos were released. “He even emailed us last night,” Witherspoon said last week. “He said, ‘You look so awkward on the red carpet together.’ “

The upcoming romantic comedy film is a Netflix Original, and will tell the story of Debbie (Reese Witherspoon) and Peter (Ashton Kutcher), best friends who decide to switch houses for a week. In doing so, they both get a peek into each other’s lives, which may open new doors — including the door to love.
The film also stars Wesley Kimmel, Steve Zahn, Rachel Bloom, Jesse Williams, Shiri Appleby, Zoe Chao, Tig Notaro, and Vella Lovell.
“Your Place Or Mine” will be available to stream on Netflix starting February 10, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
