The ex-husband of US Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) has been arrested on assault charges, three days after the former couple got into a fight at a restaurant.
Jayson Boebert was charged Tuesday with third-degree assault, prohibited use of a weapon, obstructing a peace officer, harassment, disorderly conduct and third-degree trespassing, according to Garfield County jail records cited by the Daily Beast.
His arrest follows an incident Saturday afternoon at the Miner’s Claim restaurant in Silt, where he called police in Republican and claimed he had been shoved in the face in a case of “domestic violence.”
It is unclear if the charges are related to Saturday’s incident in his district.
All charges are misdemeanors, except trespassing, which is classified as a misdemeanor — and carries up to 10 days in the slammer, a fine, or both, the Daily Beast reported.
Jayson was released on $2,500 bail, a jail official told the outlet, who said the suspect did not respond to requests for comment.

The congressman has no pending criminal cases in Garfield County, according to 9 NEWS.
On Sunday, he denied punching Jayson and said he would explore his legal options.
“This is a sad situation for all that continues to escalate and is another reason I’m moving,” Lauren said in a statement obtained by The Post.

“I did not punch Jayson in the face and no one was arrested. I will consult with my lawyer regarding the false claims he has made against me and evaluate all my legal options,” he added.
Her assistant told the Daily Beast that Jayson made an “aggressive move” toward her and she “put her hand in his face, put her hand on his nose” to shoo him away.
But other witnesses claim that he managed to land two punches on Jayson’s nose, prompting him to call the police.

Jayson, however, told the Denver Post that he did not want to press charges.
“I don’t want anything to happen. He and I are working through a difficult conversation,” he reportedly said.
The couple married in the mid-2000s, but divorced in 2023 amid “irreconcilable differences.”
“With a heavy heart, I have filed for divorce from my husband,” Boebert said at the time. “I am grateful for our marriage for all these years and for our beautiful children.”
Jayson previously pleaded guilty to public indecency and lewd exposure in connection with his actions at a Colorado bowling alley in 2004, involving two women when he was 24.

The mother of four also has a minor arrest record, including disorderly conduct and missing a court summons.
He also allegedly went into the bathroom shouting matches with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) last year.
And she made headlines in September when she chatted with her then-boyfriend, Quinn Gallagher, co-owner of an Aspen bar, while they attended a performance of the musical “Beetlejuice.”
Surveillance footage captured him blowing a puff of vape smoke into the air and appearing to grope Gallagher’s crotch. He was also seen stroking the cheerleader’s breasts.
The two were kicked out of the theater for causing a disturbance and later broke up – and he later suggested the two weren’t meant for each other because Gallagher was a Democrat.
